Hammond's Learn to Subdue Your Passions is a brief read that leaves the reader with questions to ask of themselves. I personally used the text as a tool for reflection during a challenging time in my life. LTSP reminded me of tools I already had in my possession but framed it in a way that was accessible without being preachy. I highly recommend the book and suggest giving it as a gift to others, I have.
Looking at the contents, I'll admit to being apprehensive. At the outset, I thought that this was going to be just another 'holier than thou' screed against those who don't measure up. To the contrary though, this short work gives the reader something to take away and ponder. It challenges in a way that makes you want to try harder to get to where you really should be. It'll make you think the next time you want to wander off the path.
Good read.

This book was a little over priced but I saw a different take at situations in life and as we as Masons are thought. Learn to subdue your passions as we know is challenging.
